ADA Admendments Act
The ADA Amendments Act of 2008 (ADAAA)
Congress enacted the ADA in 1990. Throughout the congressional deliberations,
there was broad agreement that the federal disability law return to the broad
coverage that Congress envisioned when it passed the ADA in 1990.

The basic ADA analysis asks:
- Does the person have a disability?
- Is the person qualified? (Can he or she perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations?)
- Is there a reasonable accommodation? (Is there a possible accommodation? If so, is it reasonable or would it cause undue hardship?
